Close by, so we can look after you properly
Westoning is a short drive from our base in Ampthill, past Flitwick. Being close means quick surveys, materials collected on the day, and a fitter who can return quickly if something needs attention.
The village has a mix of older houses along the High Street and Greenfield Road, family homes built in the later twentieth century, and newer developments on the edges. Many homes have had bathrooms updated once already, often by different trades at different times, and the problems usually show up when the old tiles come off.
Westoning homeowners often ask us to make a bathroom work better for the family: swapping a bath for a large walk-in shower, adding an en-suite, or turning a cramped layout into something easier to use. We plan the layout around how you use the room, and then deal with the plumbing, electrics and tiling in-house.
Bathrooms and kitchens are quoted at a fixed price after we have seen the room. Smaller jobs are typically £60 per hour, and emergency call-outs are £120 per hour, 24/7.

Common bathroom problems in Westoning
Most Westoning bathrooms we see have been updated before, and the problems usually come from those earlier updates.
Old repairs behind new tiles
It is common to find pipework patched with mixed fittings, or an old leak that was rather than fixed. We deal with it properly at strip-out, before the new bathroom goes in.
Showers with poor pressure
Many homes still have older hot water systems or narrow pipework that cannot support a strong modern shower. We check the system first and recommend a shower that will actually perform in your home.
Leaking shower trays
Trays fitted on an unsupported base or sealed only with silicone eventually move and leak. We fit trays on a solid, level base and waterproof the walls behind them.
Limescale damage
Bedfordshire's hard water blocks shower heads and wears out valves. We fit parts that can be serviced and replaced easily.
How a Westoning job runs
01
Free site visit
We come and look at the actual room, check the floor, the walls, the pipework and the ventilation, and listen to what the room needs to do.
02
Fixed-price quote
One written price with a realistic timescale. The only caveat is a genuinely unforeseen issue behind the walls or floor.
03
Strip-out and first fix
Old suite out, pipework and cabling run, floors levelled and strengthened, wet zones tanked — the work you never see again.
04
Tiling and second fix
Our own tiler sets the walls and floor, then the suite, valves, lighting and extraction go in and get tested properly.
05
Finish and guarantee
Sealed, cleaned, snagged with you present, then guaranteed — one year on parts and plumbing, two years on tiling.
